Note: Abilities, and each ZENFORM and their Ability pools listed at the bottom of this large post.


This is a VERY important thread for you all!
Like the Version 1.2 development thread, this is your chance to add, edit, and remove Abilities that will be ACTUALLY in the game!

What can you do?
You can suggest Abilities.
You can edit Abilities that are AWAITING FEEDBACK.
You can ask to have an Ability that is PENDING or CONFIRMED to be edited or removed.

How are Abilities given to ZENFORMS?
Each ZENFORM will have 1 Ability that will be randomly given out of 3 potential Abilities. Each unique ZENFORM color (Newborn to Adolescent) can have 3 potential Abilities each. Each Adult and Grand ZENFORM will have 3 Abilities each.
The 3 Abilities a ZENFORM could potentially have is called the "Ability Pool"

Example: Freno could have the potential of "Potential Ability 001", "Potential Ability 002", and "Potential Ability 003". When you encounter a Freno, it could have 1 of the Abilities. 

When the ZENFORM is created in the game logic - it will call code that creates a random number between 1,2,3.
If the value is 1, the ZENFORM will be given Potential Ability 001,
if the value is 2, the ZENFORM will be given Potential Ability 002,
and if the value is 1, the ZENFORM will be given Potential Ability 003.

How will my current ZENFORMS be given an Ability (pre Version 1.2 captures)
The game will randomly give your current ZENFORM an Ability when you load up the Version 1.2 update. The ZENFORM will be given a random Ability from it's Ability Pool just like when the game generates a wild ZENFORM.

I don't like my ZENFORMS Ability, can I change it?
Yes. More details will be revealed on how to change a ZENFORMS Ability (give them a new Ability) in the future.

What are the "Ability Pools" for each ZENFORMS and their colors?
Information on that can be decided as a community once we have enough Abilities. I'd like to have about 30-40 Abilities in the game for the launch of 1.2, with more coming with each update.

When a ZENFORM evolves, will it's Ability change?
No. Abilities for ZENFORMS don't change when you evolve. Keeping the Ability is a great way to get one you like and keep it on a ZENFORM as you grow it. Also helps make your ZENFORM feel more individual compared to ZENFORMS of the same kind.

Just went and caught a Blue Fader with initiation maybe try make it so it can tank hits while taking down FP then attack when their out of FP but idk the evos attacks

I have a idea for a ability that cancels both yours and opponents zenform's abilities would be pretty popular.
It could be called "Old fashioned" due to that was the way battles were before abilities we're introduce.

Maybe an ability that swaps the increase/decrease of stats like if your oponant uses speed up to increase their speed by 20% it would actually decrease their speed by 20% and the same would happen when you use a move like that

Harrumph! That could've made for some cool builds. That's why I like that there are hidden values for each stat of a pokemon rather than just one general hidden stat. You can breed certain monsters with higher defense than others to be tanks. In that scenario you could bring in a 'flip-flopper' to make easy work of one of these tanks.

Idea for Que:

Speedy Dodger/Whatever you want it to be (I'm bad at naming stuff)

When the opponent dodges your attack, your speed increases by (4X Evo Stage)%
For example, if a Warthorn had this and the opponent dodges its attack, the Warthorn's speed would increase by 12%
