ive been thinking about this game hitting the web for awhile now to come across several questions:
1) being a itunes game, is the game going to allow us to play music during the gameplay threw our ipod/iphone devices? some games do/ do not allow. just curious
2) the encountering subject makes me ask whats going to happen. are their going to be wild zenforms you can battle/catch? (pkmn lol) and i hope something more then seeing a trainer and getting a epic [!] above their heads is going to happen
3) customizable characters subject had me thinking. is their more clothes and hairstyles/colors to choose from later down the road as you get more $? is their is a currency in the game?
4) hoping that this game is going to be a long quest. please dont take offense in my asking. are we going to be seeing the good ol' bicycle or something to speed up walking/transportation?
my appologies if any of these questions have been answered but havent seen anything and not really used to forums all that well :/ sorry for any trouble about the post im just very impatient and excited about playing this. hoping that it breaks that pkmn rpg mold
Moderator notice: moved thread to the official ZENFORMS: Protectors game forums (the game section is for the games made by the community, not about OUR games)

1. When playing the game (beta version) i could play music via the music app in the background - seems to working.
2. There will be wild zenforms you can battle against. You can "catch" them with the crystals.
3. You wont have all of the character customization elements enabled when you start a new game, yes you can "unlock" them during the gameplay. The currency in our game is called "Alt".
4. you can run to move faster (enabled my the little circle in the middle of the DPad, see the alpha version gameplay video on our youtube site)
a lot of the questions you asked here were actually already asked, please use the search next time

- and of course our website, we have a lot of information about our game you can read through!
Thanks Spacee - it's been answered so I'll go over it.
1: There is no in-game UI to select music from your device. There is an option in the game to disable the game's music. So you could always do Spaceemotion's idea.
2: Protectors are like trainers from Pokemon. You can battle them in various places. Pretty much every ZENFORM (including the 3 Newborns you pick at the start) are in the wild. ZENFORMS from Newborn to Adolescent stage also have 3 color variations you may find. You will also be able to change the color of a ZENFORM by feeding it specific food.
3: There will be no IAP (in app purchases) in version 1 release of the app. There is money in the game called "Alt" which you can spend in the game shops - think like pokemarts. There is a clothes shop called ZENStyle in one of the cities- and a ZENSalon beside it. There will be shops that sell potion style items and crystals for capturing ZENFORMS too.
4: No vechiles are allowed on the roads because of the game's traffic lights system down (part of the storyline) - so other then running, there is no quicker way to move around a single map. There will be places to do a fast travel though.
Can we "collect them all" even if that's not the point of the game or will we only be able to have four ZENFORMS at any given time?
If we can collect them all, I guess there will be something along the lines of a Pokemon Storage System?
There is (by design choice) no way of knowing in battle if you have caught the enemy ZENFORM (like in pokemon it has the little pokeball icon in the status bar).
You can have 4 ZENFORMS but there is a storage system which we have no shown off yet.
You can certainly catch what ever ZENFORMS you can and the catch system is pretty fun (you'll see when I reveal the battle system fully).
It's just not something we focus on, it's not why Protectors are Protectors - they don't want to catch them all and there is no league they want to win.
Again, just because it's not the focus of the developer to make the player have a "pokedex" (You get a PCom that has a dex style app, but it shows all ZENFORMS from Newborn to Adult levels - no Grand forms) doesn't mean you can't do it.....
You - as a player - can do what you want and that is our focus - player choice (like actually making choices in events, creating your character and so on). If you choose to go catch every ZENFORM - you can ;-)
Question: will we be able to re-fight people to keep gaining xp or will there be a cap to the total amount of xp between each update?
You don't gain XP. You earn Skill Points for battle and quests which you can then spend on things like increasing stats, learning attacks and evolving for your ZENFORMS.
There is a stat cap that will be increased in some updates (not every update will increase the stat cap).
As for re-battling another Protector - I haven't decided on that one yet.
So there won't be a cap to how many skill points we can earn though?
The Skill Points are capped at 99,999 I think.
You need skill points for lots of things, so there won't be a low cap for Skill Points ever.
Yeah thats what i was wondering. Thanks for clearing it up.
